New York Rangers star Artemi Panarin is sought after by many companies in North America and Russia to promote their products and services. Panarin, who signed a deal with the Rangers worth more than $80 million in 2019, will likely make just as much money through sponsorships and advertising as he does on the ice. However, in a recent interview, Panarin said he has no intentions of keeping any of it.

"All my advertising money will go to charities. We need to settle this with companies, and we are working on it. So that companies promoting their brands, working with me, send this money directly to charity without even touching me in any way," said Panarin. "One of the ideas is just that. That is, additional finances will go to charity."

Panarin recently arranged a game in Russian through his charitable foundation with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to 14-year-old hockey player Gleb Bannov, who is dealing with some health issues. Panarin told the NHL's Russian website that more of these types of events are likely on the way.

"It's a good thing, and thanks to our team for helping to organize everything. I will say that such a match was arranged in 12 days. And when they called me, telling about such an idea, I said that we would not have time to do it. But my friends reassured me, saying that we will be in time. 'Well, let's do it then!' I said."

"In general, I am always ready to sacrifice my time in order to continue to participate in such good deeds. We want to keep doing this match every year," added Panarin.
