Artem Anisimov is headed out west on a professional tryout offer. According to CapFriendly, the 33-year-old has signed a PTO with the Colorado Avalanche and will join them in a couple weeks for training camp.

The Yaroslavl, Russia native has spent parts of 13 seasons in the NHL playing for the New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks, and Ottawa Senators. In 771 regular season games, Anisimov has 376 points (180 G, 196 A), 214 penalty minutes, and is a -17. He's also put up 17 points (8 G, 9 A) in 43 career playoff games.

Anisimov struggled to stay healthy during the 2020-21 NHL season with Ottawa and was placed on waivers in March after registering only four points in 14 games. He ended the season with nine points in 19 games.
