Chad Posthumus is a Canadian basketball player in the CEBL league who unfortunately suffered a brain aneurysm and is now in intensive care.

Chad Posthumus is the center for Winnipeg Sea Bears, a charismatic personality in the Canadian basketball fraternity.

He has just been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and is still in critical condition after certain problems cropped up post-surgery. He reportedly underwent this due to an unsuspecting development of a large brain aneurysm.

The 33-year-old Posthumus was said to have suffered the aneurysm last Saturday during a training session.

His condition had been in a stable state awaiting further medical attention and was thought to have recovered quite well.

However, he was once in a more critical state due to complications not being foreseen after the surgery was performed to repair the aneurysm.

Posthumus is an athletic player who oozes enthusiasm for the game. He made history in 2023 when signing with the Winnipeg Sea Bears.

This wasn't just huge for him but for the newly added team in the CEBL. As he is from Winnipeg, he has surely gained the hearts of locals and other basketball fans from across the country as they see his worth on the court.

The Sea Bears said in a social media post this morning that they were deeply pained by the current state of Posthumus and the worry basketball fans and the greater community are enduring.

The illness is critical, but further details have not been made public, given the private nature of the player's life and the delicacy of the case.

Fans and teammates alike are praying for the best and hope to see him make a full recovery.
