After leaving a game against the Seattle Kraken with an apparent foot injury, the Colorado Avalanche have released an update on Cale Makar that is causing concern.

At a time when the Colorado Avalanche can't afford any more injuries, especially to key players, comes a concerning update on star defenceman Cale Makar in advance of tonight's game against the Winnipeg Jets.

With the Colorado Avalanche playing the Seattle Kraken last night, Cale Makar left the game after looking to be in rough shape on the bench. There was no obvious incident that led to the injury, but Makar could be seen shaking his leg, indicating a lower-body injury.

Now, with the Colorado Avalanche taking on the Winnipeg Jets tonight, Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman has released an update on defenceman Cale Makar. He's a game-time decision, which is not a good thing.

The Colorado Avalanche have been decimated by injuries so far in the 2024-25 NHL regular season. The team is about to get a big addition in the near future as Valeri Nichushkin's return date following his arrest in Seattle . The Avs also got back Artturi Lehkonen after he was finally activated from injured reserve. Besides those name, Colorado has also missed Gabriel Landeskog, Jonathan Drouin, Miles Wood, Ross Colton, and others at certain points.

We'll have to wait and see if Cale Makar can manage to fight through this injury for the game against the Winnipeg Jets. He's clearly less than 100 percent if the Avs are waiting for the game to start to see if he can play.
