The St. Louis Blues organization shared an update on Dylan Holloway's status after last night's chilling scene.

A scary incident took place at the end of the first period of the game between the St. Louis Blues and the Tampa Bay Lightning last night when Dylan Holloway collapsed on the bench and had to be stretchered off the ice.

Holloway received a shot near the neck area, and when he returned to the bench after his shift, was assisted by members of the Blues medical unit.

If you missed it, watch how it all went down in the video below:

After the game, the Blues head coach Drew Bannister shared an update on Holloway's status, confirming he was doing well and was alert when he was being taken to the hospital.

In his own words:

"I think the only way I can put it to you guys (the media) is if you're at work, you get a call that one of your family members is sick and rushed to the hospital. Holly is a family member. That was a tough. I thought we, as a group, showed a lot of fortitude mentally being able to push through that... We were able to get updates on Holly and kind of put our minds at ease a little bit, and we focused ourselves."

"From what we've heard, he's doing well. It's a good sign."

No details have been released about the severity of his injury, but we hope that it's not as serious as it looked. With the Blues' other offer sheet acquisition Broberg also being sidelined due to an injury, fans will be eager to see them back on the lineup.
