The Washington Capitals make multiple moves as their Training Camp roster starts to take shape

The Washington Capitals had a busy Sunday afternoon, cutting 20 different players from their NHL Training Camp as their roster begins to become clearer heading into the regular season.
The Capitals moved multiple players to the Hershey Bears including Zac Funk, Alexander Suzdalev, Bogdan Trineyev, Pierrick Dube, Henrik Rybinski, Vincent Iorio, Nicky Leivermann, Jake Massie, Clay Stevenson, and Mitch Gibson.
Washington also put 5 different players on waivers in an attempt to loan them to the Hershey Bears. Those players include Ethen Frank, Alex Limoges, Riley Sutter, Hardy Haman Aktell, and Chase Priskie.
The Capitals also sent 4 players to Hershey to continue to rehab from injury including Luke Philp, Spencer Smallman, Logan Day, and Jon McDonald. The last move the Capitals made was returning Ilya Protas, the brother of current NHLer and Capitals forward Alexei Protas, back to his junior team, which is the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL.
With all these moves, the Capitals have trimmed their training camp roster to 31 players as their first regular season game looms in the not-so-distant future. Included in those players are 2 of their most recent first-round picks, Andrew Cristall and Terik Parascak.
