After seven days of speculation by fans and media personalities, Dylan Holloway is a member of the St. Louis Blues after the Edmonton Oilers declined to accept his offer sheet.

Holloway, who played only 38 games with Oilers this past regular season adding 6 goals and 3 assists for 9 points, spent some of the season at the AHL level with the Bakersfield Condors. He produced at a higher per game rate as he had 10 goals and 6 assists for 16 points in just 18 games.

Holloway, the former 14th overall pick back in the 2020 NHL draft, spoke with Andy Strickland of Bally Sports Midwest about the experience.

The forward, who broke out in the playoffs for the Oilers with 5 goals and 2 assists in 25 games on route to a Stanley Cup Final berth mentioned this:

"I didn't think we were asking for anything crazy at all."

Holloway spoke very highly of Doug Armstrong and the Blues organization, saying:

"I did speak to Doug Armstrong before who laid down the plan for the Blues and if I did go to the Blues they have a good plan for the future."

The 22 year old forward, who has split time between both the Oilers and the Bakersfield Condors since signing his entry level contract in 2022, is very excited to get started with Blues.

"I'm excited to be part of the Blues, now that it is all said and done" Holloway said with a big smile on his face.
