The Florida Panthers are fresh off a historic season, and now they've added a bright young talent to their blue line.

The 2023/24 campaign was an amazing one for the Florida Panthers, but shortly after winning their first Stanley Cup, they witnessed the departure of several key players that made it possible. Now, they've gone to free agency to add an intriguing piece in the form of a former No. 8 overall pick.
We have agreed to terms with defenseman Adam Boqvist on a one-year, two-way contract!
The team announced on social media that they have landed Adam Boqvist on a one-year, two-way deal that will allow the 23-year old a chance to play significant hockey after three straight years in Columbus. Over that time, Boqvist has put up some solid performances, with 2022-23 being a career year for the blue liner, tallying a solid 24 points over 46 games played.
Despite the departures of Oliver Ekman-Larsson and the potential trade of Aaron Ekblad, who remains on the trade block, this blue line is solid, so it's unclear where Boqvist slots in. Still, he has plenty of talent and experience at 23-years of age, and now he'll look to earn a role on a team that will once again chase the Stanley Cup in 2024/25.
