It's official. A 2 to 1 victory has made the Florida Panthers the Stanley Cup Champions over the Edmonton Oilers.

While the Edmonton Oilers, led by Connor Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Evan Bouchard, and Stuart Skinner put up a valiant effort, pushing the series to a game 7, the Florida Panthers, led by Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov, and Sergei Bobrovsky got the win.
Ultimately, the Edmonton Oilers ran out of gas, and in the final 70 seconds with the goaltender pulled, they just couldn't get it done.
This is a heartbreaking loss for Connor McDavid, who said earlier in the season that this was ‘cup or bust'. He got close, but not quite there.
It's the hardest trophy in pro sports to win, and the Florida Panthers just proved it. They survive a miracle series comeback for the ages from the Edmonton Oilers and capture the Stanley Cup with a defensive gem of an effort in Game 7.
An absolute thrilling Cup Final series.
