The Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice shared his thoughts on the controversial offside call last night in his post-game press conference.

The Panthers had their third opportunity to end the playoffs but failed to capitalize. The Oilers won 5-1, with two empty-net goals.

In the first minute of the second period, the Panthers scored a goal, but the Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch challenged it for offside.

After a video review, the goal was overturned, causing Paul Maurice to lash out from the bench.

Here's how it went down:

"Paul Maurice is FURIOUS after the Panthers have their goal overturned for being offside 😬"

After the game, Maurice had a message for the NHL and made a hilarious statement involving the CIA.

Check out what he said:

"We'll bring in the CIA."

Paul Maurice discusses the Oilers coach's challenge in Game 6.

Paul Maurice says he wouldn't have challenged that offside before Barkov's goal based on the video that was made available to him on the Panthers bench, had the situation been reversed: "We'll get still frames. We'll bring in the CIA. We'll figure it out."

The Panthers' forward Carter Verhaeghe also made comments about the video review process, criticizing the NHL at the same time:

Carter Verhaeghe on the offside review that took a #FlaPanthers goal off the board: "I'm sure it's the right call if they're watching a million replays."

This could've been a crucial goal for the Panthers, but it's unlikely that it would've been enough to stop the Oilers from winning.

Paul Maurice could become the first NHL coach since 1941-42 to blow a 3-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals. The last time it happened, Jack Adams and the Detroit Red Wings lost in the Finals against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Panthers will do all they can to make sure they win. Not only would they be remembered as the team who blew a 3-0 lead, but they'll also be remembered as the team who lost in two straight Stanley Cup Finals.

The pressure's definitely on their shoulders.
