The Toronto Maple Leafs are expected to make some big changes this summer, but the coaching staff under Craig Berube has already changed, with another announced.

After another disappointing playoff exit, the Toronto Maple Leafs are clearly looking to make changes, and with the addition of Craig Berube as Head Coach, it's already begun. The team have already moved on from one assistant coach in Manny Malhotra, and this week it was confirmed that Dean Chynoweth is also on the way out.

@MapleLeafs announce assistant coach Dean Chynoweth will not be returning next season.

Chynoweth joined the Maple Leafs back in 2021, and was a key part of this staff for their regular season success, but with Sheldon Keefe fired, it only made sense that sweeping changes were coming.

After nine seasons as a player in the NHL, Chynoweth has had a solid coaching career, spending time with the Carolina Hurricanes before joining the Maple Leafs for the past three years. The future remains unclear for the rest of the coaching staff, but for now, Craig Berube is looking to make his mark on his brand new coaching staff, and it could pay off in a big way for the Maple Leafs.
