Jacob Trouba is one of the dirtiest players in the league, with a knack for elbows to the head. He has now been punished by NHL player safety.

Jacob Trouba, captain of the New York Rangers, has been fined $5000 for his illegal elbow to the head of Evan Rodrigues last night.

NY Rangers' Jacob Trouba has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for elbowing Florida's Evan Rodrigues.

Jacob Trouba, despite having somehow won the Mark Messier leadership award this season, has caused many injuries to his opponents. The long-time NHL defenseman is big and physical, which has helped him get to become a $8-million annual player, but his discipline is appalling - especially for an NHL captain.

We will see if Jacob Trouba will clean up his act, but, knowing how long he's been this type of player, it is unlikely. We will see if the Florida Panthers can fend off the New York Rangers' aggressive fashion
