The Chicago Blackhawks have one of the biggest stars in the game in Connor Bedard, and now they may look to reunite with one of the teams best ever players.

On paper, the Chicago Blackhawks aren't expected to be a competitive team in the 2024-25 season, but with Connor Bedard and the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, things are certainly looking up. With the opportunity to develop these young stars, now the Blackhawks are considering a major reunion, with reports now emerging that the team are potentially interested in a reuniting with Patrick Kane.
The Chicago Blackhawks will hold internal discussions about signing Patrick Kane this summer.

Two seasons ago, Kane's Blackhawks career came to an end when he was traded to the New York Rangers, and after a fantastic 2023-24 campaign in Detroit, he's shown that he's still got plenty of gas left in the tank. Over his career in Chicago, Kane excelled as a franchise star, helping lead this team to three Stanley Cup's, so while a reunion wouldn't put them in contention again, it would allow him to give back to the franchise once again that's given him so much.
It's not likely given Kane's desire to chase yet another Stanley Cup, but if he can't find the right opportunity elsewhere, getting the chance to give back to the team by molding Bedard and whoever the team take at No. 2 overall would be a great opportunity for Showtime.
