The Buffalo Sabres suffered their 12th straight loss Tuesday night, 3-2 at the hands of the New jersey Devils, a team just barely ahead of them in the standings. Every member of Buffalo just seems to be caught in a funk they can't get out of, and other teams are starting to take notice.

Around midway through the second period, a clearly frustrated Jeff Skinner started battling it out on the ice with new Jersey's Nathan Bastian. Both would get sent to the penalty box, but continued to chirp each other through the glass. That's when Bastian decided to kick Skinner while he was down, so to speak. In a very personal chirp, you can see Bastian say to Skinner "Why don't you score more goals? You're the most overpaid guy in the world." Skip ahead to around 1:05 if that's all you want to see.

I'm not sure Skinner is the most overpaid guy in the world. However, he's certainly high up there in the NHL, at least challenging for top spot if not in first. Skinner has just two goals and one assist in 25 games this season while making $9 million (AAV). The Sabres' season is pretty much over already, even though we're just past the midway point. The team will miss the playoffs for the tenth straight season.
