Due to Bobby Ryan's recent comments regarding Caitlin Clark and women's sports, an Ottawa Senators podcast has announced that they are officially parting ways with him.

Earlier this week, Bobby Ryan, the former NHL and United States Olympian, decided to make many rude and downright misogynistic comments on Twitter against Caitlin Clark and women's sports in general.

The series of comments began when Bobby Ryan decided to reply to Meghan Chayka's post, Chayka is the co-founder and co-CEO of Staphletes. Chayka commented that it seems that everyone has been tuning in to watch the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, it seems that everyone is watching except for Bobby Ryan, he decided to reply, challenging Chayka to:

"Name 7 players. Not 1. Not 25-7.
First and last namesgo for it"

Bobby Ryan did not back down after this initial comment, instead he decided to double down with a now-deleted post, he attempted to defend himself, and went on to claim that he would pretend women's sports are a thing:

"Guys...holy hell. Relax!!!!
It's 843 and I want to go home and pretend like women's sports are a thing."

His recent comments, including the deleted one, have not gone unnoticed. They have reached Brent Wallace and Jason York, who host the Coming In Hot podcast that focuses on the Ottawa Senators. In response to the comments, they have announced that they will no longer associate with Bobby Ryan, stating that they have parted ways with him, and that his views do not align with the views of the show or their sponsor, The Nation Network.

"Earlier this week, Bobby Ryan made comments on social media that do not align with our show or that of our sponsors and partner, The Nation Network. As a result, we have mutually decided to part ways."

Bobby Ryan has made no official responce to this announcement, he has still made no official apology for his comments, it seems that his reputation has been significantly damaged. Maybe he will learn to think twice before he publicly comments.
