Russian forward Denis Kazionov is a former NHL draft pick, being selected in the seventh round by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2006. He would never play in the NHL, but had a lengthy career in the KHL playing a total of 484 games. Recently, Kazionov found himself in the news in his home country for reasons totally outside of hockey recently.

The car in the picture accompanying this story is a Porsche belonging to Kazionov and his family. His wife and young son were in the car with him when he accidentally drove through the wall while on the third level of a parking garage in Moscow.

"Yes, this is my car," Kazionov told Sport24.ru. "We drove with the whole family: me, my wife and the child behind. There is open parking on all sides and only one side has a wall."

"We drove up, I started to slow down before turning and pulling into a parking space, but the car didn't slow down at all."

Kazionov continued that his wife and son are still in shock, but luckily, no one was injured in the accident. He explained that the car just accelerated as he pulled into the parking lot despite him not touching the gas pedal. The following video was taken by someone at the scene.

Kazionov's brother Dmitri was also drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning, being selected in the fourth round in 2002. He, too, would play his entire hockey career in the KHL.
