Patrik Laine and the Columbus Blue Jackets didn't get the outcome they wanted Saturday night, losing to the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 in overtime, but an interview with the Finnish sniper during the second intermission sure caught a lot of people's attention. Laine was a busy guy during the game, scoring a beautiful goal in the first and also getting into a fight with Brandon Hagel after a big hit on his Columbus teammate Jack Roslovic. During the interview with Fox Sports, Laine was asked to describe his goal, in which he sniped the top corner. He went with the most hockey-player description possible.

"The goal, I think that was textbook top cheese," responded Laine. "You know, it doesn't really get any better than that."

He was bang on, as you can see in the video below, and the internet absolutely loved his response.

Laine was also asked about the fight. He's not a guy who drops the gloves often and, in fairness, he took a hard punch to the side of the head before getting dropped completely by Hagel. Still, it was great to see him stand up for his teammate.

"My legs weren't quite going so I had to get myself going some other way," said Laine of the fight.

"He accepted the challenge and we had a pretty good tilt," he added.

Despite a previous benching, Laine does seem to be enjoying himself in Colcumbus and has managed five points, including four goals, in six games since joining the team. You can be sure coach John Tortorella loved seeing the 22-year-old getting his hands dirty, despite the loss.
