The Edmonton Oilers have saved their season in recent months, turning around a very poor start to the 2023-24 campaign, but one forward hasn't been able to break out of a poor start.

Edmonton giving up on Connor Brown?

According to a report, the Edmonton Oilers are on the verge of giving up on veteran forward Connor Brown, who was seen as a major addition to this team over the summer.

Mark Spector wonders if the Edmonton Oilers would consider parting with F Connor Brown. He has been listed as a healthy scratch and with his underwhelming play this season, he could be someone the team opts to move.

Unfortunately for the Oilers, any type of move with Brown still leaves them on the hook for his significant bonus of over $3 million for playing in more than 10 games, but at this point, it's the right move.

Brown has struggled in his time with the Oilers

In 44 games with the Oilers this season, Brown has been given time alongside the teams biggest stars, but that hasn't amounted to any production, posting 0 goals and just four assists over that time.

On top of that, the Oilers also added Corey Perry via free agency, who has already made a much bigger impact than Brown in less than a quarter of the time, so while the hopes were high for a bounce-back season from Brown, it appears his disappointing time in Edmonton is coming to an end.
