The NHL commissioner Gary Bettman broke a major record in the sports world today.

Bettman Breaks Major Record as NHL Commissioner

For the last 30 years, Gary Bettman has been one of the most divisive figure within the hockey world. His decisions have caused a lot of debates over the years and some fans even believe he should have been fired from his job a long time ago.
However, he continues to receive significant recognition from various institutions for his accomplishments.
A recent report revealed that today, January 27th, marks Bettman's 11,318th day as the NHL's commissioner, making him as the longest-serving leader in major sports leagues such as the NFL, NBA or MLB.
"January 27 marks the 11,318th day that Gary Bettman has been the commissioner of the NHL, which makes him the longest-serving leader of any major league, including the NFL, MLB or the NBA."

Despite his controversial decisions, Bettman brought the hockey to a new level, and he's still working hard to take it even further.
