It is now officially official, as the Edmonton Oilers have announced the details of Corey Perry's new deal with the club. After much speculation on Perry's return and how much he might cost, the Oilers were able to sign him to a one-year deal worth $775,000 with performance bonuses built in.
The #Oilers have signed forward Corey Perry to a one-year contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $775K plus performance bonuses. Perry will wear number 90.
Perry had previously worn number 94 for the Chicago Blackhawks, and will now wear number 90 for the Edmonton Oilers.
After months of speculation on whether or not Perry would return to the NHL, and then which team would take a shot on him, the Edmonton Oilers have been able to secure Perry for a reasonable deal.
