Police Investigating Toronto Maple Leafs Security for Excessive Use of Force
A new video has emerged that has called into question the actions of a pair of security guards for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
New Video Emerges Leading To Investigation
Last night a video posted to social media showed Toronto Maple Leafs security guards acting with excessive force. The video shows a man being held down on the ground by a pair of security guards and struggling while being detained. As the video continues an injury can be seen that the man sustained as a result of the force used by the security guards.
After this video was released there was a massive amount of public outrage. People were calling for an investigation both by the Maple Leafs and by the local police department. Now an update has confirmed that this will indeed take place.
Toronto Police To Investigate Maple Leafs Security
An update this afternoon announced that the Toronto Police and MLSE (Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment) have launched an investigation into the incident.
