This NHL insider just dropped a huge bombshell about where Patrick Kane could be signing in the next few weeks.
Elliotte Friedman Reveals Kane Does Not Want to Play in the Western Conference
Patrick Kane has been rumoured to be close to getting a deal done for several weeks now, with the Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, and Florida Panthers leading the way in courting the future Hall-Of-Famer.
However, a deal is not yet done, so speculation on where Kane will sign has continued. Now, Elliotte Friedman has revealed that Kane is unlikely to sign in the Western Conference, as he believes Kane does not want to deal with the travel.
Kane Reportedly Close With the Buffalo Sabres
The Buffalo Sabres seem to be the leading candidate to land Patrick Kane's services next year. The Sabres are Kane's hometown team, somewhere he would likely be willing to retire if the time is right.
He'd also still be on the East Coast, as Friedman has pointed out is important to him. The only thing remaining is how much term Kane wants to sign for, and if the Sabres can make that work with their current roster.
As the season progresses, we will see who lands Patrick Kane and for how long he will call them home.
