I can't imagine this is easy for anyone on the Boston Bruins to talk about. However, head coach Jim Montgomery has addressed the media on the arrest of Milan Lucic after an alleged domestic incident early Saturday morning.

Bruins Coach Jim Montgomery Adds His Perspective to Lucic's Arrest

Ahead of Boston's game against the Montreal Canadiens yesterday, Montgomery took the mic and didn't bother waiting to be asked about Lucic's arrest. Instead he decided to dive right into it right off the bat.

"We're aware of the Looch situation, and as an organization, that's something we take extremely seriously. Looch is taking a leave of absence from the team right now. We support the Lucic family and will continue to provide assistance."

While saying this is "not a normal day" for the Bruins, there was still work to be done, and that's what the team was concentrating on.

""Our culture here is great, and we care about each other. It's not a normal day, but we're professionals, and we have a game to play tonight. We have to get ready for that."

Lucic's Arrest is Addressed by Boston Bruins Head Coach Jim Montgomery

If the arrest of Lucic was weighing heavily on the minds of his teammates, it didn't show on the ice as Boston made easy work of the Canadiens, winning the game 5-2. Lucic has taken an indefinite leave of absence from the Bruins. A report yesterday stated his wife called 9-1-1 and alleged he had attacked a choked her. Police say he appeared intoxicated when they arrived on the scene.
