Fans Turn on Brad Marchand After Comments on Milan Lucic's Arrest

Last night reports came out that Bruins forward Milan Lucic had been arrested. Today Bruins captain Brad Marchand was asked about his thoughts on those reports. His answers got him into some trouble with fans.

Lucic Arrested After Alleged Incident

Reports came out throughout the night and into the morning that Bruins forward Milan Lucic had been arrested. The alleged charges were linked to a domestic disturbance at his home. After this got out the Boston Bruins immediately placed Lucic on indefinite leave.
The Boston Bruins have announced that Milan Lucic will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team after an alleged domestic incident involving Lucic took place Friday night.
Many questions still remain unanswered regarding the situation. This morning though the media was able to ask Bruins captain Brad Marchand his thoughts on what is going on.

Bruins Captain Marchand Comments On Lucic's Arrest Causing Fan Uproar

Today the Bruins had a media availability. With the arrest of Lucic fresh in the news cycle captain Brad Marchand was asked about the incident. His comments cause a lot of debate amongst fans.
#Bruins captain Brad Marchand on Milan Lucic: "Definitely worried about Brit and the kids and Looch himself, but they have all the support in the world. Anything they need, we're going to be here for them."
Brad Marchand on Milan Lucic:

«The biggest thing for us is we care a lot about their family. We are family in here, we're all very very close, so we're obviously concerned and upset for them and what they're going through.»
Many fans were critical of Marchand's comments because he did not denounce his teammate's actions. Marchand only offered gestures of support to the family including Lucic. Many felt this was disrespectful to the family and potential victims.
While much of what we know is speculation at this point Lucic was arrested. He will have to answer for whatever crimes he is accused of. As more information becomes available we will provide it to you.
