Early in the second period between the Panthers and Leafs, William Nylander took a scary looking hit from Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov. Many thought the play should have been a penalty but there was no call.
Luckily, Nylander was no worse for wear as he quickly picked himself up and continued to play in the game. It is noteworthy though that one of the league's best players took a dangerous hit like this and there was no call. If something similar happens in the playoffs and a star player is knocked out of the series that can have a massive impact on the results. the NHL needs to be careful to make sure the officiating is not impacting the outcomes of games.
