The Brantford Bulldogs and Peterborough Petes of the OHL faced off last Saturday in a game that neither side will forget shortly.

OHL Hands Out Punishments For Benches-Clearing Brawl

After the game ended in overtime, both benches cleared and everyone was fighting everyone. The league fined both teams and suspended several players as a result of the action. The Athletic's Scott Wheeler described the action on X.

Tensions were high throughout the game after Bulldogs defenseman Cedricson Okitundo cross-checked one of the Petes players half way through the first period. He received a match penalty on the play and has sense been given a three-game suspension.

Petes defenseman Konnor Smith and Bulldogs defenseman Noah Roberts each earned a suspension for fighting after the game ended. The two players instigated further shenanigans after things had died down. In total we saw eleven games worth of suspensions and three thousand dollars worth of fines handed out for actions that took place during this game.
