Bedard Says He Would be "Sick of Me" If He Was A Fan
There's no question that the hype surrounding Connor Bedard has been active since he was drafted first overall and only increased since the start of training camp. However, it appears Bedard wouldn't be a huge fan of all the attention he is getting if he were a fan.
"I'd be so sick of hearing about me if I was a fan. There's been too much stuff on me. I haven't even played in a game yet." - Bedard on Himself in Hockey Canada

Bedard Looks to Crosby for Mentorship on Stardom
Bedard has been open about how influential Crosby has been in guiding him during the start of his career. Bedard says he uses Crosby as a model of how to act off the ice.
"Sid talks to everyone he passes by and takes his time with everyone," Bedard said. "He's the pinnacle of that, of carrying himself. Of course, on the ice everyone knows how great he is. But I think off the ice and how he handles things there is just as special.»
The two were even featured in a fun game show of "old versus new" for opening night.
