BREAKING: Blue Jackets Name Mike Babcock's Replacement

After the announcement that Babcock has resigned, the Blue Jackets have named his replacement.

After the investigation into Babcock's actions regarding forcing players to show him their photos, the Blue Jackets have confirmed that Mike Babcock has resigned from his position as head coach.

They have named Pascal Vincent as their new head coach. Vincent was the former assistant head coach of the Blue Jackets.

This comes after Elliotte Friedman broke the news that Mike Babcock was resigning this afternoon. Babcock's time in Columbus was short-lived, and even though he told the franchise and fans that he had changed, it appears he has not.

Sources say that there was no way for Babcock to continue as head coach of the Blue Jackets.

It is likely that this is the end of Babcock's career as a head coach in the NHL.
