Back Overseas After 260 NHL Games Played

Anton Khudobin has gone from a seventh-round pick in 2004 to a long NHL career, including bringing the Dallas Stars to the 2020 Stanley Cup Final. But now, the Kazakh-born Russian goalie is heading home.

According to KHL source Hockey News Hub, Khudobin is currently training with VHL club Krasnoyarsk Sokol. The club plays in the second tier of Russian men's hockey, and their KHL affiliate is Amur Khabarovsk.

Khudobin is also reportedly considering offers from KHL clubs, and is shortlisted by Belarusian club Dinamo Minsk.

Khudobin played 260 NHL games across stints with the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins (twice), Carolina Hurricanes, Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, and Chicago Blackhawks, posting a career average 2.52 GAA and .916 save percentage.
