Pekka Rinne has reportedly re-joined the Predators organization in a new role.

Rinne has been hired as a member of the Predators staff

According to reports, Rinne is set to become the Predators European Goalie Coach and Development Scout.

Rinne spent his entire 15-season career with the Predators, becoming one of the NHL's greatest Goalies and one of the most feared netminders of his era. Rinne's 369 Career Wins are tied for 20th with 2023 HHOF inductee Tom Barrasso. As well, Rinne holds the Predators Goalie records for Games Played, Wins & Shutouts.

Rinne's new role will likely have him oversee the development of Nashville's European Goalies. Top Goalie Prospect Yaroslav Askarov is already in North America, but this role allows for Nashville to expand on it's success in European Goalie stars with Rinne, Askarov & Juuse Saros.

Rinne last played in the NHL for Nashville in the COVID-shortened 2020-21 Season. Rinne was a 4x NHL All-Star and won the Vezina Trophy for Best Goalie in 2018.
