Adin Hill was a huge catalyst for Vegas during their Cup run. Hill took over for an injured Laurent Brossoit after Brossoit was injured during the second round against Edmonton.
Hill won each of the next two games to send Vegas past Edmonton, and never looked back posting .932 Save Percentage and a 2.17 Goals Against Average.
Hill ended up earing a few Conn Smyth Trophy votes after Vegas won the Cup.
Unexpected Rise
Adin Hill was not expected to be put in this position heading into the regular season.
Hill was acquired from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a fourth round pick after incumbent starter Robin Lehner was lost for the season due to injury.
Hill spent most of the year as Logan Thompson's backup before Vegas brought in Jonathan Quick and Brossoit for insurance.
After Quick struggled and Brossoit was hurt, it left Hill an opportunity of a lifetime, and he sure didn't disappoint.
Now the question will be if Hill can sustain his success or will he turn into another Jordan Binnington, and struggle with inconsistency and immaturity.
