A hot topic currently in the NHL is undoubtedly that of Alex DeBrincat with the Ottawa Senators.

The National Capital organization is looking to trade their sharpshooter, while the latter would not want to commit long-term in Ottawa.
Because of the draft and the possibility of adding a high first-round pick in return for the 25-year-old American, the Senators are very active in the market trying to find a taker for him by June 28.
However, reporter David Pagnotta just mentioned that a major deal could be brewing between Sens' GM, Pierre Dorion, and his counterpart Steve Yzerman with the Detroit Red Wings.
With two selections in the top-20, the 9th and 17th overall picks, the Wings might be interested in making a big move by acquiring DeBrincat.
Having paid a seventh overall pick last year, along with the 39th selection in the draft, it is clear that Dorion is probably targeting at least the 9th overall pick for his player.
There is a lot of stir in the NHL backstage, and the DeBrincat file could spark some fire in the coming hours. The 2023 draft is shaping up to be more exciting than ever!"
