Pierre-Luc Dubois and Alex DeBrincat are two of the hottest commodities on the open market and we could see the Hurricanes broker a trade for either of the two.

Hurricanes Interested In Top Talent

The Hurricanes' lack of goalscoring is evident and an issue they desperately need to address. After getting swept by Florida in the Eastern Conference Finals, they are now looking at options for their future, including the biggest names on the open market.

Today on the 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek listed Carolina as an option for two star players.

This is interesting considering the Hurricanes' desire to win a cup. Many consider 2024 as the year the Hurricanes need to go all in. With key players like Sebastian Aho, Martin Necas, Seth Jarvis, Brady Skjei, and Brett Pesce all commanding raises in the 2024 off-season, the Canes may need to ship it all on next year.

Dubois or DeBrincat would both fill a major hole in their roster. Dubois would fill the 2nd line center hole while DeBrincat would fill the goalscoring sniper hole. Both are viable options for the Hurricanes and we could watch them hoist the cup in 2024 if they play their cards right.
