The handshake line at the end of an NHL playoffs series is a chance for players to put their differences aside and show mutual respect for each other and the game. Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers was having none of that after his team was put out by the Vegas Golden Knights.

In the video below, you see Alex Pietrangelo shaking hands with members of the Oilers and saying a few words to each of them as he went along. When he got to Draisaitl, the German forward quickly took his hand and then pushed it away, all while refusing to even look at Pietrangelo.

The Reason

This all stems from a slash by Pietrangelo to Draisaitl in the final minutes of game 4 while Draisaitl was attempting to put the puck in the open net. Pietrangelo would end up sitting out game 5 due to a suspension.

Vegas will face the winner of the Seattle Kraken - Dallas Stars series. Game 7 takes place tonight.
