The NHL held their annual Draft Lottery Monday night with the Chicago Blackhawks winning the pick. They will now be able to draft Connor Bedard first overall.

However, many questioned the validity of the Lottery after Kevin Weekes announced the Columbus Blue Jackets draft spot before it was unveiled by NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly.
This has many thinking NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman had the Lottery rigged knowing how much more money Bedard would bring in to Chicago rather then smaller markets like Anaheim or Columbus.
JUST IN: In the first hour after getting the No. 1 pick, which will be phenom Connor Bedard, the @NHLBlackhawks have sold $1.9 million in season tickets, says team president of business Jaime Faulkner.

At this pace, a season ticket cap is anticipated.

Wild for a team who had 3rd lowest capacity % in NHL this season.

No signs of stopping in Chicago

The Blackhawks since getting the No. 1 pick, and the rights to what will surely be Connor Bedard, have sold more than 500 full season tickets worth over $2.5 million.

That's a pace of revenue of $28,000 a minute.

The Blackhawks notably paid a $2-million fine for the cover up of the Kyle Beach scandal.
It's safe to say the NHL hasn't punished them further as they've recouped their assets.
It's disappointing to see Bettman and the NHL fill their pockets up more.
