The Colorado Avalanche will be without a key member of their team for an unknown amount of time.

Elliotte Friedman has announced that Avalanche Forward Andrew Cogliano is out "indefinitely" with a fractured neck following a hit from Kraken Forward Jordan Eberle in Game 6.
Cogliano was injured in the second period of Colorado's 4-1 win after the Eberle hit. Eberle was given a minor penalty on the play.
Eberle has not been reported to face further discipline for the incident.
Cogliano, 35, is an important veteran presence for the Avs, who now lose a Forward for a decisive Game 7 against Seattle.
There is no timeline for his return, but if Colorado advances to the second round, they face the question if they will be without Cogliano or not.
