The department of player safety is cracking down, and the Maple Leafs are it's latest victim.
Last night's matchup between the always and Lightning was a wild one.
Tensions were high, and players got carried away, and unfortunately for
Sam Lafferty, he was hit with a fine.
After a hasty cross check on
Ross Colton, Lafferty was hit with the
maximum allowable fine.
Toronto's Sam Lafferty has been fined $3,108.11, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Cross-checking against Tampa Bay's Ross Colton.
Definitely not a smart move by Lafferty!
