This Toronto v. Tampa series just keeps getting better, and is shaping up to be one of the most entertaining playoff match-ups in recent memory. In the aftermath of last night's shenanigans, which occurred after the Jeannot fight, it was noted that Patrick Maroon was engaging in his own extracurricular activities.

Maroon Tries to Hit a Fan

After a wild sequence which saw both Patrick Maroon and Corey Perry find themselves in the penalty box, fans decided to once again taunt the Lightning players. The same incident happened earlier in the game with Tanner Jeannot, and that fan was escorted out of the game.

Once Maroon and Perry wound up in the box, fans doubled down on their taunting. The actions of these Toronto fans clearly aggravated Maroon, and he attempted to swat at them with his stick.

It goes without saying that trying to hit a fan with your stick is never okay, and we're glad nobody was hurt during the incident. As for Maroon, supplemental discipline from the league may be in the near future depending on how serious the NHL views the situation.
