The game between the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden today saw hostilities resume almost immediately.

The chaos began with the opening draw, as Garnet Hathaway and Pat Maroon were seen arguing at the face-off dot. When the puck was dropped, the two players engaged in a fight, with Hathaway and Maroon throwing punches in an effort to set the tone for the game.

Maroon emerged as the clear winner of the altercation, landing several uppercuts that Hathaway was unable to counter.

Maroon's height advantage may have also played a role in his dominance. As the NHL season enters its stretch drive, tensions are running high and players like Maroon and Hathaway are thriving in the playoff mentality.
