Florida Panthers prospect Jakub Kos (#184, 2021) is looking to resume his playing career next season after suffering a neck fracture on March 3rd. The 2023 World Junior silver medalist was checked from behind by opposing Eemili Ylitalo.

Kos is expected to miss the rest of this season as a result of his injuries. Ylitalo, the perpetrator, was ejected from the game and suspended another four for his check on the 19-year old.

Immediately after the fact, there was due concern that Kos wouldn't walk again, so the notion of him playing hockey again in six months sounds absurd. Hockey players, though - am I right.

Playing for KooVee Tampere, Kos has managed 19 points in 25 games so far this season; on a points-per-game basis, 3rd best on the team.
