The National Hockey League announced on Wednesday evening that they've fined San Jose Sharks head coach David Quinn $25,000 for demeaning conduct towards the officials.

"San Jose Sharks' coach David Quinn has been fined $25,000 for conduct demeaning the officials that resulted in a game misconduct during NHL Game No. 993 on Saturday, Mar. 4, the National Hockey League announced today.

The fine money goes to the NHL Foundation." The league's statement said.

Quinn was not happy during the third period of San Jose's game on Saturday against the Washington Capitals after a penalty was called on Sharks forward Kevin Labanc. He was ejected from the game, but before leaving the bench, he called the official a 'fucking asshole' and a 'fucking joke'.

With his ejection, Quinn became the first NHL head coach tossed from a game in nearly a year after Jon Cooper was given a game misconduct in April 2022.
