Is Ondrej Palat a straight up animal?

In Tuesday's game against Toronto, the New Jersey Devils forward fell on the receiving end of a double-minor-worthy high stick from Leafs F Pontus Holmberg.

After falling to the ice, Palat rushed to the dressing room and was not on the Devils' bench to start the 3rd period. His first shift back came after ~5:00 into the period on a New Jersey powerplay.

And wouldn't you know, first shift back and he scores, knotting the game at two. At the risk of stating the obvious, this guy is a Hockey Player.

It ultimately didn't impact the game's outcome, though. Toronto re-gained the lead after Timo Meier's 3rd period penalty. After they were on it pretty much all game, Mitch Marner, William Nylander and Auston Matthews connected on the rush for the game-winner. A real beauty.
