The New York Rangers' acquisition of F Patrick Kane was a roller coaster in every sense; logistically, emotionally, and probably spiritually.
Kane, who spent the last 16 years with the Chicago Blackhawks, now plays under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden. The process to get him there took weeks if not months.
But the moment when it finally happened must have been a mixed bag of relief, excitement and nervousness. Footage dropped of that phone call between Kane and GM Kyle Davidson, and it was equal parts awkward and emotional:

Kane's stint with the Rangers hasn't gone as perfectly as some may have hoped. In two games, Kane has 0 points and is a -4, averaging 20:45 seconds of ice-time. Now, it's way too early to pass any sort of meaningful judgement.
The group needs time to gel, and playoffs alone are what matters.
