Just over one week from now, the NHL will hold the 2023 Stadium Series in Raleigh (North Carolina) as the Hurricanes take on the Washington Capitals. Planning for these types of events take a while and it appears that the NHL already has the location for the next edition of the Stadium Series.

According to ESPN's Kevin Weekes, the 2024 Stadium Series could be held at Raymond James Stadium, home of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The game would see the Tampa Bay Lightning take on their state rival, the Florida Panthers. Weekes added that the situation is still fluid and that there are lots of factors to take into account when trying to host an outdoor game in a warm climate.
The NHL held their All-Star Weekend in South Florida and while the weather was good for the first couple of days, Saturday saw torrential downpours and localized flooding, which obviously wouldn't be ideal conditions to host an outdoor game in.
In 2014, the NHL hosted a Stadium Series game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, with the temperature at puck drop in the mid-80s Fahrenheit (above 26 Celsius). As for next Saturday's game in Raleigh, temperatures should be hovering around the freezing mark by the time puck drop rolls around at 8 p.m. ET.
