The World Juniors' most anticipated matchup went down on Wednesday night when Team USA and Team Canada met in the semi-finals. With the winner advancing to play Team Czechia, the stakes were high and the action was intense.

1st Period

Team USA started off with all the mojo, scoring two goals in the game's first 10:30, courtesy of Logan Cooley (ARI) and Kenny Connors (LAK).

Guess who answered for Canada? If you guessed the kid with 21 points in 5 games of this tournament, nice job.

2nd Period

It took Logan Stankoven all of :47 seconds to tie the game with a back-door tap-in. Thomas Milic made a brilliant save on Chaz Lucius (WPG) to keep things tied, and less than two minutes later Adam Fantilli ('23) buried a cross-crease pass from Zach Dean (VGK).

Team USA had a which made things extra difficult for them. This rendition of Team Canada is simply too good to leave goals on the table.

3rd Period

After a second disallowed goal, the Americans really started to show frustration. It was evident in their play and between whistles.

Canada, on the other hand, was playing with swagger and confidence, and it was only a matter of time until they got another one. Enter: Brandt Clarke (LAK).

From here, it was fairly easy to predict how this one ended. Canada advances to play Czechia in the gold medal game, while Team USA meets Team Sweden to fight over the bronze.
