Ottawa Senators reporter Ian Mendes sent out a tweet this morning saying that forward Tim Stutzle avoided any structural damage in his shoulder after taking a hit from Anaheim Ducks forward Brett Leason on Monday night.

The hit, which did appear to be from behind, forced Stutzle to leave the game after having only logged two minutes. And, while it is great news that he isn't expected to be out long-term, Mendes did let it be known that the Sens medical staff expects him to miss roughly a week of action.

Stutzle, 20, is having a fantastic season for the Sens to this point, having scored 10 goals and 27 points in 28 games. The third overall pick from the 2020 NHL Entry Draft is blossoming into a star player before our very eyes, and will continue to be a major part of this team for years to come.
