The Toronto Maple Leafs have some of hockey's most passionate fans. They eat, sleep, breathe, and just ooze hockey. Just look at the price of admission Leafs' fans pay knowing full-well they are going to be disappointed.

That is pure, unadulterated passion right there.

Tonight, the Leafs are hosting the Arizona Coyotes, one of the NHL's worst on-paper teams heading into the 2022-23 season. Toronto entered this match -490 betting favorites (for those unfamiliar with betting lines, a $100 bet would pay out roughly $20).

Well, trailing 2-0 after two periods, Leafs fans were not about to let their team go to the locker room scot-free:

I have never been booed (mostly because I'm perfect), but I imagine it sucks really, really bad. Clearly, however, the message sunk in.

In the third period, the Leafs flipped the switch and scored two goals in :24 seconds, courtesy of Willian Nylander and Mitch Marner.

Say what you will about the Toronto Maple Leafs, they are one of the best teams in the NHL when all of them show up.

And as I went to publish this story, Arizona took the lead again. Yikes.

'Yotes win, 4-2.
