The Montreal Canadiens announced on Monday morning that they've recalled goaltender Cayden Primeau from the Laval Rocket. Veteran netminder Jake Allen won't be in the line-up against the Penguins as his wife is expected to give birth to their child.
Primeau, 23, has played in one game this season for the Laval Rocket so far. It came against the Belleville Senators on Friday, in the season opener, where the Rocket lost in overtime by a score of 6-5.
In addition to calling up Primeau, the Canadiens announced that they've assigned defenceman Corey Schueneman to Laval.
