Graphic: Youth Coach Loses Finger Trying to Climb into Penalty Box (VIDEO)

You may need to watch this one more than once. In the blink of an eye, this coach enters the security camera's field-of-view and in an instant his finger pops off, leaving the coach visibly panicked. To his credit, it does not appear that he started crying, like a true mensch.

He did not do anything egregious, he was simply trying to climb up the glass and his finger just sort of popped off. Fun fact: biting off a finger apparently feels a lot like biting a carrot. Moral of the story, fingers are not fastened to our bodies as firmly as you might expect.

Fortunately, you can throw the finger on ice and have it stitched back on with full use. Although, I hope they used a bag of ice from the snack bar rather than the ice on which they were playing. This guy is lucky, and -- not to point fingers -- but he ought to be more careful going forward.
