Jake Oettinger's New Mask Revealed, Updated Rendition of 'The Otter'

Jake Oettinger or 'Otter' earned himself a handsome payday this summer after a dazzling playoff performance. He will ride into 2022-23 with a brand new mask, featuring an update on his patented otter he wears on the side of his helmet. David Gunnarsson released Minnesota Wild prospect Jesper Wallstedt's mask, and he is on an absolute roll this summer.


Oettinger's new mask features the golfing otter, which replaces the previous cowboy otter. He will be critical for the Stars this season, especially under new head coach Peter Deboer, whose struggles with his goaltenders are well-documented by now.
